Creating content for your website

Consider your audience

Before you do anything, think about your intended audience. Who are the people that you are creating the website for. You may be writing for one particular group of people but more than likely this will include several different groups, e.g. people in your community, members of your community group, members of other similar groups, local school children, etc.

You have to be careful not to write what you think people should read but rather what they may want to read and find out on your site. Before putting anything on your website ask yourself the question “Is this information important and of interest to people visiting the site?”.
