The Problem with different fonts
Why is there a problem adding
a fancy fonts to your site?
You have to be careful when selecting an unusual font for your website
as you may find that, although you can see it fine on your PC, other
people won’t have it installed on their computer. Therefore your
web page won’t look as you intended it to look for the majority
of visitors to your site.
Why doesn’t everyone have the same fonts
on their computer?
Computers come with a certain number of fonts and this depends on the
Operating System that is installed on your PC. Windows XP has different
fonts to Windows 2000 and Windows 98. Therefore, if you designed your
webpage in Windows XP and chose a certain font then others who use a different
operating system such as Windows 98 will see it differently to how you
intended it to look.
