Soup Dragon

The Garndiffaith soup dragon alias Jackie Denley-Jones restarted the community lunch on Thursdays in Millennium Hall in the Summer term. It has been very successful and it's the best vegetarian, homemade soup in Torfaen - all for £1. Many of our students partake in a bowl after a busy morning on the computer

Sports Relief

The last week of the summer term was Sports Relief week. Students gave a donation and the sum of £51.92 was raised. Thanks you to everyone who gave so generously. Since the project began in September 2001 we have raised £354.79 for charity.

Too hot for comfort

During June this year we did experience some very hot weather. As it was a little warm on the bus for comfort we bought a desktop fan and used it for all of two days and then the weather changed. John said he knew it was a bad idea

Internet stops

This autumn term there will be 3 internet stops - Yew Tree, Two Locks and Garndiffaith. Many students are very interested in the Internet and have found some very interesting sites. Learning search techiques makes finding information a lot easier. Many e-mails have been sent from the bus to all parts of the world
